Arm surgery

Arm surgery recovery requires focused drainage of the upper extremities. Our protocol reduces swelling, prevents fibrosis, and supports smooth, even healing from shoulder to elbow.

Focus areas

Arm surgery

After brachioplasty (arm lift) or arm liposuction, the upper arms experience swelling and fluid retention that needs professional drainage. Our protocol activates axillary lymph nodes and uses targeted techniques to clear fluid from the arms while supporting scar healing and skin adherence for the smoothest possible results.

Focus areas

  • Upper-extremity lymphatic drainage
  • Axillary node activation for arm fluid clearance
  • Scar tissue management for brachioplasty

The 3 phases

Your recovery path

01

Phase 1: Inflammatory

Days 2-10

Gentle drainage of upper arms. Axillary lymph node activation. Careful attention to incision areas. Arm elevation guidance.

Daily (first 5-7 days)
02

Phase 2: Organization

Weeks 2-4

Deeper drainage with ultrasound. Fibrosis prevention along treated areas. Begin gentle scar preparation for brachioplasty patients.

2-3 sessions per week
03

Phase 3: Refinement

Week 4+

Scar tissue management and skin adherence work. RF for skin tightening. Final contour smoothing.

1-2 sessions per week

Your plan

Techniques used

Upper-extremity lymphatic drainage
Axillary ganglion activation
Gentle tissue mobilization
Ultrasound therapy (Phase 2+)
Scar management and RF (Phase 3)

Compression garment

Arm compression sleeves are essential for the first 6-8 weeks. We check fit and recommend adjustments as healing progresses.

Important notes

  • Limit arm elevation above shoulder level in the first week
  • Compression sleeves should be worn consistently
  • Arm swelling can extend to hands temporarily
  • Gentle arm movements help circulation between sessions
