Full process
Recovery is not a single event.
It is a series of phases.
Recovery is not one generic massage routine. It is a timeline. Each phase has a specific treatment goal, rhythm, and method based on how surgical tissue heals.
1
First 7-10 days (starting 24h after surgery)
Phase 1: Early recovery
Control swelling and protect healing tissue.
What is done in this phase
- Light, gentle, feather-like lymphatic drainage
- Lymph node activation
- Zero direct pressure on surgical areas
2
Week 2 to Week 4
Phase 2: Tissue organization
Guide tissue alignment and prevent early fibrosis.
What is done in this phase
- Slightly firmer manual drainage
- Ultrasound therapy
- Targeted preventive fibrosis work
3
Week 4 to Week 12+
Phase 3: Refinement & contouring
Refine contour, treat persistent fibrosis, and support final shape.
What is done in this phase
- Deeper contouring and definition techniques
- Ultrasound and radiofrequency
- Wood therapy and RF vacuum (wk 12+)
